The results of superficial telangiectatic vein treatment by injection are quite variable, but it is generally accepted that at least 50% of all those treated derive benefit. There will be bruising and possibly some skin irritation following the injections, but eventually the veins tend to become fainter or disappear. They can recurrent over a long time in untreated locations, however.
