Prompt Care
Mr Lagattolla draws upon over thirty years clinical experience in the entire spectrum of general surgery. He was appointed as a consultant in general surgery with specialist interests in both vascular and endocrine surgery back in 1999 when first in Dorset, and he now practices mostly in the fields of phlebology (varicose veins and allied conditions), and hernia repairs. He also deals with swollen legs, from various causes, endocrine conditions, and still deals with many clients with arterial conditions,, being able to offer a very prompt service both with an expedient initial consultation, and obtaining first rate CT angiograms and minimally invasive interventional radiological treatments.
Leg Ulcers
Leg ulceration may have a single origin, though more commonly there are several causes. At the BVP we can clinically and through targeted investigations discern the exact causes of any leg ulcer, and instigate prompt treatment. If the ulcer has venous dysfunction as its only or predominant cause, then prompt treatment will often be of use in expediting healing and preventing ulcer recurrence.
General Surgery
The BVP offers a spectrum of general surgical procedures, from excision of all types of skin lesions through to wound grafting, lymph node excision, inguinal and femoral hernia repair, umbilical and epigastric hernia repairs, and recurrent hernia repairs.
Endocrine
All varieties of thyroid disturbances are investigated and treated, whether structural (goitre), functional (under or over-activity) or pathological (cysts and tumours)
